An emotion is a mental and physiological state associated with thoughts, feelings and behavior. As your energy force controls your brain and therefore impacts your thoughts and feelings, your emotions are a means of interpreting the meaning of the energy flow you are currently experiencing. Whether you feel sad or scared or happy or relaxed it is all about the energy field currently surrounding you.

You can gain control of your feelings but often you have to change your instinctive reaction to a specific behavior. Have you ever found yourself getting very angry with your spouse but yet they don't appear to have done anything? What might have happened is that they used a tone or phrase that reminded you of a past event and your reactions are based on your subconscious feelings regarding this event and not the current behavior of your spouse.

We get what we expect out of life. Again and again this has been proven. In one study in Texas, doctors conducted an experiment on some knee surgery patients. One of the two groups was getting replacement knees whilst the other only thought they were. Nothing was actually done to the second groups' knees, although they were put through surgery and incisions were made. After two years had lapsed the doctors found that the level of pain recovery between the two sets of patients was the same. In the second group, their brains expected their knees to have been repaired and the pain gone and this is exactly what they made happen. The brain believed the reason for the pain was gone and hence it was. As in the Texas experiment, as neurologists say, we are conditioned by our thoughts and therefore expect specific events to happen.

How is it possible to control your emotions? Responsibility for your thoughts and your life depends on you. There are some people that have been through horrific situations such as war, who develop a very real condition called post traumatic stress disorder. Dramatic consequences can come because they become incapable of controlling some of their feelings.

Some live in misery unable to sleep and function normally whilst others are led to suicide or murder. Modern medicine doesn't appear to be very effective in dealing with this particular type of crisis.

An energy healer could benefit these people by unblocking their mental trauma which would let their energy field flow again uninterruptedly.

We all need energy to survive. The dead have no emotions, good or bad, without it. The ability to feel things requires energy, so with no feelings we are dead. We might as well be dead when we have negative energy surrounding us, as we are making both ourselves and everyone around miserable.
